Once a booming whaling port, Nantucket has continued to keep an it's harbor active throughout history and during the summer months is host to many pleasure, racing and classic boats. Nantucket Race Week, August 10 - 18, 2013, is one of the most exciting weeks on Nantucket's waters and it is known for being one of the best weeks to walk the docks to see some of the finest sailing vessels from around the world.
